Corrections, Errata, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

If an error, discrepancy, or misrepresentation is found in a published article, it is the responsibility of the author(s) to notify the journal editor or Editorial Office as soon as possible. If a potential issue is raised by someone other than the author(s), the author(s) will be contacted for clarification and, if necessary, to prepare a correction. Errors that affect the accuracy or integrity of the published work will require the publication of a correction or erratum. Corrections will be issued in a manner that ensures indexing and abstracting services—such as PubMed—clearly associate the correction with the original article.

Corrections to Author Information and Metadata

InterPore Journal is committed to maintaining accurate and complete author information. Authors may request corrections to names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, contact information, and other metadata when inaccuracies are identified. Such corrections may be made without requiring a formal erratum if they do not affect the scientific content of the article; however, they will be updated in the publication record to ensure accurate attribution and discoverability. Corrections that do impact citation metadata or indexing may be accompanied by a formal notice at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief. All authors will be informed of these updates to ensure transparency.

Expressions of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be published to alert readers to a potential issue with an article in the following situations:

  • when investigation of the concern is inconclusive,
  • when there is evidence that the findings may be unreliable but the authors(s) or their institution will not investigate,
  • when an investigation cannot be completed in a fair, impartial or conclusive way, or
  • when an investigation is being conducted, but it may take some time until a conclusion can be reached.

Decisions regarding publication of an Expression of Concern will follow the guidelines established by COPE
