InterPore Journal, which is published and owned by The International Society for Porous Media, is committed to protecting your privacy and the personal data you provide. This Privacy Statement provides a brief overview of how personal data are processed in connection with the journal. Personal data collected from registered and non-registered users arise from the standard operation of a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. These data are used to support the editorial and publication process, enable communication between authors, editors, reviewers, and readers, inform readers about the authorship and editing of content, and to generate aggregated information on readership, usage, and scholarly communication patterns.
The International Society for Porous Media acts as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with InterPore Journal. The journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS), developed and hosted by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which processes personal data on behalf of the data controller for the purpose of providing and maintaining the publishing platform.
The journal’s editorial team uses personal data solely for purposes related to publishing, maintaining, and improving the journal. Data that support the development and operation of the publishing platform may be shared with PKP in aggregated or anonymized form, with limited exceptions, such as article-level metrics. Personal data are not sold and are not used for purposes other than those described here.
The journal uses cookies and analytics tools, including OJS analytics and Google Analytics, to collect aggregated information about website usage and readership in order to support the operation, evaluation, and improvement of the journal. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data subjects have rights including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. These rights are exercised subject to the journal’s obligations to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record and the public interest in the availability of published research.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that any personal data relating to human subjects included in submitted or published research have been collected and processed in compliance with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
