About InterPore Journal
AIMS
InterPore Journal is a new international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal, entirely published and owned by The International Society for Porous Media (InterPore). Our aims align closely with those of the Society, striving to advance our understanding of, and research on, technical and industrial advances in porous media. We seek to improve the understanding of the processes and phenomena involved and provide a medium for sharing this information within the international research community. Our overarching goal is to become the focal point for the worldwide porous media community, publishing high-quality research on a wide range of multidisciplinary, multiscale topics related to porous media science and technology.
A key aspect of our mission is to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN). The research published in this journal directly contributes to the following UN SDGs: 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, and 15.
SCOPE
Though we are a society journal, we welcome contributions from the global community of porous media researchers, whether in academia, industry, or national and international research institutions.
We encourage submissions linked to porous media applications with geological, industrial, environmental, or biological aspects. Research areas may include, but are not limited to, physical and numerical modelling, imaging techniques and analysis, theory development, big data analysis, characterization, and material design.
ARTICLE TYPES
- Original research papers, technical notes, and review articles presenting state-of-the-art porous media research and applications, offering perspectives for future research and development.
- Open datasets and source codes relevant to porous media research, providing valuable resources to the community.
- Letters to the Editor, short communications, invited commentaries and papers, and opinion pieces.
For more information on the various article types or sections, please see here.
VISIBILITY AND IMPACT
InterPore Journal offers a unique advantage: a highly targeted audience. Contributions to the journal are promoted through several InterPore platforms, including the InterPore Newsletter, significantly enhancing the visibility of the work. This audience includes future employers, examiners, committee members, and more.
We have a robust review system, with most reviewers coming from InterPore, ensuring the quality of published articles. Despite its recent launch, the journal has made a strong start and has all the ingredients to become a leading publication in the field of porous media. We invite authors to support our mission of advancing porous media science and technology and contribute to the growth of this newly established journal.
