Previous Publications and Preprint Servers
InterPore Journal publishes original research that has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. During the initial submission process, the corresponding author confirms on behalf of all authors that “the submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.”
Electronic preprints—pre-publication versions of a manuscript posted on a preprint server or institutional repository prior to peer-review—are not considered prior publications. However, authors must inform the Editor in the cover letter at the time of first submission if their article has been posted as a preprint, and they must provide a link to the preprint along with any relevant licensing information.
If the article is accepted for publication in InterPore Journal, the preprint record should be updated to include a citation to the published article, including its URL link and DOI.
We do not consider submissions based on abstracts or conference posters to constitute prior publication. However, if your paper is based on an abstract or conference poster, this should be stated in the cover letter and a link to the abstract or poster should be provided, when available.
If your article has previously appeared as an abstract elsewhere, this must also be disclosed in the cover letter, including where and when the abstract was published and, if possible, a link to it.
If, during the review process, it is discovered that the paper has already been published elsewhere, the manuscript will be withdrawn from peer review and will no longer be considered for publication. If the article has already been published in InterPore Journal, a retraction may be required. The same applies if the findings presented in the manuscript have already been published elsewhere. Decisions regarding retraction will follow the COPE Guidelines.
